| Jodi's Verdict | Winner: DeWALT DCF887B 20V MAX XR Impact Driver | |
For pure driving speed and torque, the DeWALT 20V edges out Milwaukee — and at $119 it's $30 cheaper. But the Milwaukee M18 drill is the better all-around tool if you need variable speed control and precision drilling. My shop runs Milwaukee for drilling and DeWALT for driving. Both are battle-tested platforms with massive battery ecosystems. You can't go wrong with either, but if you're buying your first cordless tool, DeWALT's impact driver is the better starting point.
